This map covers the stunning Northern half of the Coast and Castles cycle route. The route runs from the beautiful city of Edinburgh up to Dundee the “granite city with the warm heart.” Spectacular beaches and rolling hills make up some of the incredible views on route along with romantic ruined castles. The map also shows linking routes that could be rode for day excursions, including coastal rides in Fife and the Deeside way in Aberdeenshire.
National Cycle Network routes covered:
National Route 1 between Edinburgh and Stonehaven via Dunfermline, St Andrews, Dundee, Arbroath and Montrose.
National Route 766 between Kirkaldy and Dundee via Glenrothes, Newburgh and Newport-on-Tay.
National Route 76 between Cockenzie and Port Seton to Kirkaldy via Edinburgh and the Forth Bridge.
Coast and Castles South also forms a part of the international North Sea Cycle Route.
